After hours of research, I decided to install 2 Dometic Brisk II 13,500 A/Cs on top of our bus. The reason was simple: these were the best reviewed at the lowest price. Plus, I can run both with only a 30amp hookup. And once I add the AC Softstarts, I’ll be able to run one off of my solar grid without any problems at all. Biggest downside that keeps me from loving them: like any RV A/C less than $800, they are loud.
Chinese Diesel Heater
The backbone of our heat on the Making Away Bus. I love every last second of this little sucker, including how I cannot even set a temperature, I can only modify the hertz that the pump is cycling at. But it heats our entire 40′ machine, and has done so in weather in the teens with relative ease.
